Miss Communication

When it comes to the Clintons, you never know which scandals will stick and which will miraculously disappear because of the deal they made with Satan when selling their tattered souls. That being said, Hillary's metastasizing email scandal seems to have the potential to derail her presidential aspirations - and perhaps incur criminal charges.

It seems that when Hillary became Secretary of State, she immediately set up a private email server in her home and conducted all of her official business (and quite likely monkey business) on that computer email system rather than the cyber-secure government system which is required by federal law.

After a two day silence on the subject, Hillary eventually tweeted that she really, truly wants America to see her emails, and State Department spokes-hipster Marie "Jobs For ISIS" Harf has confirmed that this will absolutely happen. You know, eventually.

The problem is, the State Department doesn't have (and never has had) all of Mrs. Clinton's emails - it only has the ones which Hillary's personal staffers chose to give them.

Apparently, a lot of people in high places (perhaps even a certain president?) were aware of and comfortable with this clear violation of law and (oh yeah!) putting classified communications at risk for the sole purpose of protecting Hillary's obsessive political aspirations.

Now that her private email system has been discovered, Hope n' Change would like to suggest that Mrs. Clinton go back and review the many unread messages in her spam folder.

Maybe that's where ambassador Chris Stevens' requests for help in Benghazi ended up.

BONUS: HIT THE SHOWERS

Speaking of people who have no business running for president anymore, Dr. Ben Carson won the "stupidest thing said all week" award (and trust us, the competition is murder) for declaring that homosexuality is "absolutely" a choice rather than a condition of birth.

As proof, Carson said (with a suggestive eyebrow wiggle) that many people “go into prison straight, and when they come out, they’re gay. So did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”

So if we understand the good doctor correctly, the difference between being a felon and suddenly being  fabulous is whether or not you drop your soap in the prison shower?!

There is much to like about Ben Carson, but he's ignoring his Hippocratic Oath to "do no harm" when he speaks such idiocy.

Hope n' Change, on the other hand, took a Hypocritical Oath which forbids us from looking the other way when an otherwise appealing conservative stoops to the worst kind of stereotyping and anti-gay prejudice.

Carson has now taken to social media to try to backpedal his backward opinion, saying "I do not pretend to know how every individual came to their sexual orientation. I regret that my words to express that concept were hurtful and divisive. For that I apologize unreservedly to all that were offended."

Despite the fact that some bigots would insist he was born to do so, Hope n' Change believes that candidate Carson has now made the choice to tap dance.

And of course, if he is offended by that remark, we're sure he'll accept our unreserved apology.

Missing Inaction

On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu went before a joint session of Congress to share his concerns about current U.S. negotiations with Iran which would (to paraphrase ever so slightly) allow that whackjob terrorist nation to become the Middle East's ubiquitous Starbucks of nuclear weapons in the near future.

One would think that this would make for pretty compelling listening, no matter which political party an elected representative belongs to. But then again, "thinking" is sooOOoo overrated - at least when it comes to the Democrats.

Presidential hopeful and alleged Native American princess Elizabeth "Running Gag" Warren was among the dozens of Dems who boycotted Netanyahu's speech in order to show their support for Obama. Or maybe their support for a nuclear Iran, which is basically the same thing.

Of course, that's not what they claimed to be doing. Democratic Senator Al "Seriously, I Used To Be On Saturday Night Live" Franken said he was skipping the speech because it was a "partisan spectacle" and others sniffed that they found it offensive that Netanyahu would speak to Congress now because he's running for re-election and the whole thing reeks of politics.

It's revealing that they assume everyone running for office must be lying their butts off.

But it's unforgivable that they've chosen to play politics by insulting and ignoring a critically important American ally.

Breitbart & Not-So-Breitbart

obama, obama jokes, political, humor, cartoon, conservative, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, breitbart, mosul, big bird, iran

Yesterday marked the third anniversary of Andrew Breitbart's passing. The loss was immense, but  his joyously confrontational journalistic legacy is still in action - much to the dismay of the Left.

Hope n' Change isn't sure how many people will still be saying "Je Suis Charlie" in three years, but those who said "Breitbart Is Here" on countless websites meant it.

In many ways, Breitbart really changed the dissemination of news online - giving credibility to a media source which was once seen as the exclusive province of pajama-wearing nutjobs. But that being said, Hope n' Change would like you to consider the following stories which have been making noise on the Internet...

1) Susan Rice, US National Security Advisor, criticized Bibi Netanyahu's upcoming visit and said, "the US will still need to support its best friend in the Middle East, which at this point in time happens to be Iran."

2) US military officials bizarrely revealed details of a plan to retake the city of Mosul from Islamic State forces in the April-May time frame, and added that the mission would be accomplished "before Ramadan" - presumably so no big ISIS parties would have to be rescheduled.

3) Millions of parents were outraged when, on a recent episode of Sesame Street, Big Bird ate an American flag.

So, do those stories make your blood boil? More to the point - do you believe them?

Stories 1 and 3 have gone viral, but are complete hoaxes created by satire websites. Story 2 is the only one that is real and actually came from highly-paid government spokespersons. But again - do you believe it?

You shouldn't. Because it now seems (surprise!) that they had no idea what they were talking about, couldn't even begin to pull off the plan they announced, and now are rescheduling the taking of Mosul for sometime in the fall. Maybe.

The point to all of the above (in case you were wondering if we had one) is that Breitbart encouraged people to question everything and look for the truth. That means searching for multiple-source verification of any news story that stirs your passions, especially if you're thinking of passing it along to others.

And when you do get a tasty chunk of truth, by all means spread it as far, wide, and accurately as you can. Because as long as that's happening, Breitbart is here.
